After every lesson I prefer the student to walk away with something fun as well as something technical to work on until the next lesson. With children, I usually start with simple sight reading, finger exercises, and chords, and make decisions based on the student's progress.
I like to find out what the student is interested in specifically, and create a lesson plan from that. I’ve worked with all kinds of students and feel that I’m able to figure out efficient lesson plans for everyone. I'm most comfortable with guitar since I’ve toured all over the country and have played for fun or professionally in several different settings. I have 15+ years experience playing, performing, and recording guitar, bass, and piano.
